What you need to know...
I pride myself on the quality of the food I bake. To ensure the best quality I recommend that food should be consumed on the day, or the next day at the latest. We also recommend that the boxes are stored in a refrigerated unit until you’re ready to consume.Nellie’s Scones is not responsible for any resulting sickness for not consuming or storing the boxes correctly as indicated above.
For the best scones, we advise you warm up the scones before consuming. Simply heat up the scones for 20 seconds in the microwave or 10-15 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees.
Payment
We offer a contactless payment option via our online booking system.This can be made via PayPal, debit/credit card (via Stripe). We also accept Apple Pay and Android Pay.
Online payment is our preferred method. However, should you wish to pay by cash, please get in touch.
Cancellations
Should you need to cancel your order, please note we require 48 hours notice for a full refund. To cancel your order, please email hello@nelliesscones.co.uk along with your name, address, date of planned delivery and telephone number.
Local Hand Delivery
We offer a local delivery service which covers a 30 mile radius (Google maps) from our lovely village of Cliffsend. Local Hand Delivery is currently only available from Saturdays to Mondays.If you fall outside our delivery area or wish to book a box through our postal service, please look at our boxes for Postal Delivery. Many of the local hand delivery boxes are available for UK Mainland delivery, Tuesdays to Saturdays.
Please allow 72 hours when placing a booking to allow delivery.
When receiving your order, it is important that someone is there to accept the delivery. We will try to give you a 2 hour delivery window. Delivery times will be between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm, you will be advised of an approximate delivery time a day or two before delivery.
Postal Delivery
Please note we are unable to offer postal deliveries on a Sunday or Monday. Orders will be dispatched Monday to Friday only (excluding bank holidays).You can choose your delivery date when placing your order, however we are unable to offer postal deliveries on a Sunday or Monday. Orders will be dispatched on a Monday to Friday only.
We offer free delivery to mainland UK only, using the Royal Mail Tracked 24 deliveries. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a delivery time. Due to the contents of the box being perishable, we recommend that the recipient is home when the order arrives. We do ask that Royal Mail leave the box in a safe place should the recipient not be there rather than taking the box away.
Before 1pm delivery – You can opt for Royal Mail Special Delivery for guaranteed delivery by 1pm. You can opt for this delivery when placing your booking. There is a sur-charge of £8.95 per item for this service. If you choose this delivery method, please ensure someone is available at the delivery address to receive the package as it cannot be left in a safe place.
Please note, every effort is made to ensure the 24-hour delivery, but this is not guaranteed as we use a third party and delays can sometimes be out of our control. Should there be an issue with delivery, please contact us directly.
Allergies
Please make it your responsibility to inform us of any food intolerances or food allergies you have. It is important you inform us in writing when placing your order both on the order form and also please email hello@nelliesscones.co.uk. We will try to accommodate your requirements, and if not, we will let you know. Prices may vary to accommodate this.Whilst every effort is made to avoid cross-contamination, nut products are prepared within the kitchen.
Damaged Policy
If your box arrives damaged or the contents are damaged in any way, please take photos and email us at hello@nelliesscones.co.uk within 24 hours of the delivery. Please also supply your order number and name.
