About me

Hi, I’m Kirsty. I have always loved baking since I was a young girl. Growing up, I would often be seen baking with both my grandparents at the weekends. It was from these happy memories that Nellie’s Scones was born, being named after my nan.

To me, scones should be freshly baked, warmed before eating and, really, they shouldn’t look too uniformed in shape – I love a wonky scone! Of course, I have tried and tested many Cream Teas over the years so hopefully I know what tastes good, and it’s not just about the scone, the cream and jam must be just as tasty!

I have completed my Level 2 Food & Hygiene course and Nellie’s Scones is registered with the local council authority, and, I’m delighted to hold our Level 5 Food Hygiene Rating Certificate. To improve my baking skills, I continue to undertake training courses, as I think you can always improve yourself.
